OBSG vzw

For 50 years, OBSG has been committed to welcoming, housing, helping and accompanying students, doctoral students and trainees from partner countries of the Belgian Development Cooperation. With the aim of promoting a humane, fraternal and harmonious development. We provide housing for about 50 students who come to study at Ghent University and the Ghent colleges. The emphasis is on creating "your home away from home" atmosphere. We also offer support to foreign students from the South who do not reside at OBSG. For example, our "Club van Eyck" is open to all foreign students. Here they come together, make friendships, exchange ideas and discuss their ideals. Furthermore, numerous socio-cultural activities are also organized to bring students into contact with Belgian culture and the people of Ghent. Our social service provides practical, social, financial and psychological support for students who need it.
